Morocco participates in the creation of poultry projects in Africa

In his welcome remarks, the Ambassador of Morocco insisted on the excellent and privileged relations that have always existed between the two countries, which constitutes a conducive and extremely favorable framework for successful partnerships between the two parties.

The plenary session took place Friday 09/28/2018 at the Marina Hotel. Its opening was marked by the particularly strong speech of His Excellency the Minister of the Interior and Public Security welcoming this type of initiative relating to original South-South cooperation, in the presence of nearly 170 Beninese professionals who had come in large numbers to this meeting. Their massive participation is the very expression of the success of this mission.

The Benin Poultry Interprofessional Association (IAB) has highlighted the aspects on which it wishes to receive particular support, namely: training, the supply of hatching eggs, compound feed, whole or cut poultry meat and the implementation of joint investment projects capable of guaranteeing self-sufficiency in Benin.

FISA highlighted the production potential available to the Moroccan poultry sector and its capacity to respond quantitatively and qualitatively to any need. A capacity in line with the development strategy of the Moroccan poultry sector through the program contracts signed between the Government and FISA for the periods 2008-2011 and 2011-2020.

FISA also highlighted the role of the Zoopole in technical training and apprenticeship for professions in animal production (nearly 12,000 technicians, workers, professionals, students, trainers, etc. trained in the space of 3 years).

On the Beninese side, there was the intervention of the Order of Veterinarians, the Livestock Directorate, the Customs Directorate and the Benin Investment Promotion Agency. Each organization intervened on the aspects which fall within its prerogatives.

The B to B session held in the afternoon resulted in 97 meetings, with strong enthusiasm for future projects to create hatcheries, slaughterhouses and broiler and layer farms.
