
From Marrakech, Baitas kicks off a national program to strengthen associations and make them key players in development

The city of Marrakech was the scene this Friday of the official launch of a new dynamic for the associative fabric, through the start of the national program to strengthen the organizational and institutional capacities of associations of the Marrakech-Safi region, under the supervision of Mustapha Baitas, Minister Delegate in charge of relations with Parliament and government spokesperson
This meeting, marked by the presence of representatives of local authorities, elected officials and heads of regional institutions, set the tone for collective mobilization around this national project. 1.8; »>A project which aims, beyond words, to profoundly restructure the role of associations as actors of development and citizen participation, Part of the national civil society strategy « NISSIJ » (2022-2026), this program aims to provide associative actors with effective tools for more professional action in the fields of governance, development and participatory democracy.
In his opening speech, Minister Baitas stressed that this program is not limited to a series of training courses, but constitutes an integrated project focusing on a qualitative transformation of associative performance, thanks to technical support, financial support and adapted digital tools.
The first phase will concern more than 30 associations, with an objective gradual expansion to 600 structures on a regional scale, thus marking a clear political desire to breathe new life into the local associative fabric. Among the new features announced: the creation of a « Regional associative skills center », which will serve as a core for the dissemination of good practices, and the establishment of a support center dedicated to associations
This will offer consulting services. legal and administrative, will facilitate access to relevant information, and will encourage the evaluation and implementation of public policies by civil society. Digital technology also occupies a central place in this initiative, with the provision of distance learning platforms, digital reference guides and management tools adapted to the needs of associations
This initiative constitutes much more than a simple strengthening program: it opens the way to a new era. for associative work in the Marrakech-Safi region, by establishing associations as true partners in decision-making public ision and the consolidation of sustainable development.
