
COP22 in Marrakech: Mohammed VI and Ban Ki-moon chair the summit
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon arrived in Morocco on Sunday evening where he will chair the COP22 summit tomorrow, November 15, 2016, alongside King Mohammed VI.
On this occasion, the sovereign will deliver a speech at 12:30 p.m. followed by the Secretary General of the UN and Patricia Espinosa before the guests take part in the lunch offered by the king at the palace in Marrakech.
Mohammed VI arrived in the kingdom on Saturday after an African tour which took him to Rwanda, Tanzania and Senegal. The tour will continue in Ethiopia and undoubtedly other countries just after COP22, indicated a press release from the Royal Palace.
François Hollande, Mariano Rajoy, John Kerry as well as around thirty African heads of state have confirmed their presence at the COP22 summit.
