The Moroccan tourist destination sold at Salon Madrid
The diversity and richness of the kingdom’s tourism offering is highlighted at the Madrid International Tourism Fair (Fitur 2017), which has been holding its 37th edition since Wednesday at the Spanish capital’s exhibition center (Ifema) with remarkable participation from Morocco.
The Moroccan stand, erected over an area of 312 m², is ideally positioned at the entrance to the pavilion dedicated to Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. It offers a broad panorama of Morocco’s tourist assets, notably its cultural and natural wealth and the quality of its reception infrastructure.
All of the Kingdom’s tourist regions are represented at this Show, through the Regional Tourism Councils as well as 24 co-exhibitors, including travel agencies and hotel chains, not forgetting the participation of Royal Air Maroc.
Morocco intends to rely on these meetings to promote its destination. The director of the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) in Spain, Mohamed Sofi, underlined the importance of Morocco’s participation in this Fair, the second internationally after that of Berlin.
The goal is to promote the national tourism product and highlight its diversity, whether in terms of tourist regions or the nature of the offer (cultural tourism, seaside tourism, mountain tourism, adventure tourism, etc.), declared Mohamed Sofi.
On the agenda of the Moroccan delegation at Fitur 2017, B2B meetings with tour operators, airlines and professionals. These various meetings should allow the kingdom to strengthen its ties with international partners and explore new markets, added the director of the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) in Spain.
The Madrid International Tourism Fair is an event that brings together exhibitors, professionals and experts from all over the world.
