New ibis in Rabat: More comfort for the same price

A new ibis hotel opens its doors in Rabat. Located a stone’s throw from Agdal station, this establishment will suit both traveling professionals and families wishing to be at the center of the capital’s entertainment. The inauguration took place on Thursday with the presence of managers from the AccorHotels Group and Risma.

Completely renovated, the hotel is more than ever in keeping with the friendly and warm spirit of the brand. New colors, notably purple, red and gray, are a departure from the old standards to give a new identity to the brand.

The objective is to create a contemporary and lively atmosphere thanks to bright colors which energize and highlight the different spaces of the hotel.

Resolutely friendly and warm, the 170 rooms (16m2, or 3m2 more than in other ibises) are all connected, soundproofed and equipped with modern furniture such as the new exclusive Sweet BedTM bedding by ibis.

To support these structural changes, high-quality customer service and snacks are available at all hours in order to replace the purely functional approach of the economic hotel with the spirit of service, one of the strong particularities of which is the commitment of the staff to providing customer satisfaction in less than 15 minutes.

The new ibis marks the start of a new story. “Every day, we lay another stone in the building of the territorial network that we started more than 15 years ago now. We will continue to develop, in partnership with AccorHotels, a rich and diversified network of hotels to offer a unique experience to our customers,” specifies Amine Echcherki, Chairman of the Management Board of Risma.

For his part, Hamid Bentahar, vice-president of AccorHotels Africa and Indian Ocean operations, reported that all existing ibis hotels in Morocco will also undergo a makeover to meet the same newborn standard. They will all be brought into line before the end of 2019. All these steps will have no impact on the price, which will remain the same.

It should be noted that the investment excluding land is of the order of 85 million dirhams. The AccorHotels Group will strengthen the presence of the ibis brand in Morocco through two openings, one in Mohammedia in the summer and the other in Casablanca possibly in October 2017). Also, the economic capital will see the first groundbreaking for the construction of a new ibis next month for a probable opening in 2019.
