Mohammed 5 Airport: Work on T1 soon to be completed
The end of the development work on Terminal 1 of Mohammed V airport is scheduled for next March. This was announced on Tuesday during a visit to the site by Mohamed Sajid, Minister of Tourism, Air Transport, Crafts and the Social Economy.
Currently, the work is 96% complete and Sajid wants T1 to be operational next June « in order to reduce the waiting times that travelers complain about ».
Among the major new features of the terminal renovation, we should mention the installation of 9 telescopic gangways, including one for the A380, 60 passport control positions, 17 boarding gates and 5 moving walkways for transfers between T1 and T2.
