Laâyoune is home to the Morocco-France Business Forum

“After the great success of the two previous editions organized by the CFCIM in Casablanca and Paris, the Morocco-France Business Forum in Laâyoune will welcome nearly 200 economic players and institutional contractors for two days,” specifies a press release from the organizers.

This meeting of international dimension aims to promote the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra Region among French operators and to strengthen economic cooperation between Morocco and France, it is indicated.

The Forum is organized in partnership with the Ministry of the Interior, the Agency for the Development of the Southern Provinces, the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), OCP Phosboucraâ, in addition to other private and public economic and financial institutions.

This leading international meeting, favoring a win-win approach, aims to promote the region of

Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra and to highlight its potential as a hub to the African continent.
According to the press release, “it is also a question of encouraging economic rapprochement with France which positions itself as a European platform”.

Many sectors of activity will be represented there, including agriculture, fishing, agri-food, the environment, water, renewable energies, tourism, the mining industry, construction, training, offshoring and even transport and logistics.

The Forum program will be an opportunity for the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra region to present its Regional Development Plan (PDR).

“Thanks to an ambitious Royal Contract-Program covering the period 2015-2021, the region offers multiple possibilities in terms of investment, partnerships or commercial exchanges and is equipped with world-class infrastructure confirming its positioning as an African hub,” we underline.

This event will be particularly rich in thematic conferences, workshops and round tables, site visits, but also networking meetings.
