BEACHFRONT HOTELS DELIVERED BEFORE SUMMER 2019

With the exception of the Pickalbatros hotel which should open during the second quarter of 2020, the five hotels located on the seafront in the tourist resort of Taghazout will all be operational before summer 2019. This is what emerges from the latest progress report of the Taghazout bay resort. And in any case, the last plot in terms of seafront allocation is awaiting building authorization. It also goes without saying that the Travco tourist group had already expressed its interest in acquiring this plot under the German hotel brand Streigenberger which had already passed under the ownership of the Egyptian group before it was allocated to the Pickalbatros brand, of the same nationality. Regarding the development within the hotel and residential units on the seafront, with a capacity of 1,800 beds, work is still continuing for the construction of the 5-star hotel “Tikida-Riu Palace Taghazout”, currently at the structural works stage in addition to the “Hyatt Regency” hotel developed by the tourist investment company Madaëf, a subsidiary of the CDG group, which is in charge of the construction of this 5* hotel.

Added to this is the Hilton and Mariott hotel project, developed by SAPST in addition to the Fairmont Taghazout Bay hotel built by Sud-Partners, a subsidiary of Akwa Group. Still on the seafront, work on the beach club under the “Purobeach” brand located between the Fairmont and Hilton hotel is at the structural stage while work in the medina is being finalized.

The project, which should be delivered before the 2019 summer season, obtained construction authorization in February 2017 and is currently being developed by the Spanish Puro Group. Regarding the plot dedicated to the Eco Resort (holiday village) located near the surf village (Sol House managed by the Melia group), it is being marketed by SAPST while the work on the construction of the cornice is 65% advanced.  Furthermore, following the submission, in December 2016, of the amending master plan and obtaining the exemption from the Regional Investment Commission, the second golf course initially planned in the Taghazout resort was removed and replaced by a football academy and an adventure park in addition to the addition of other components, namely an equestrian club and a clinic. In this regard, work on the construction of the football academy will be launched according to the SAPST during the 3rd quarter of this year while the calls for tenders for the adventure park have already been launched.
