Gas: Chariot unveils its drilling program in Morocco in 2024
For 2024, the British gas exploration company, Chariot, has an ambitious drilling program in Morocco. This program should start this first quarter with two drillings: the first on a prospect called Gaufrette and the second on a potential deposit called Dartois. Both are located in the Loukous onshore license. If the two drillings deliver the expected results, they would allow the junior to get its hands on combined reserves estimated at 46 billion cubic feet of gas. The planned drilling also concerns the Lixus offshore license, with the aim of exceeding one billion cubic feet of gas on the Anchois project.
Busy program for Chariot Limited in Morocco this year. The British gas exploration company has just shared its prospects for its Loukous and Lixus licenses. On the first license, held 75% by Chariot and 25% by the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM), the firm plans to start a drilling campaign at the end of this first quarter. The junior has also made good progress in planning this drilling project by signing a contract with Star Valley Drilling, for the provision of the drilling rig (StarValley 101) already operational on another project in Morocco. It further reveals that it should soon obtain environmental permit approval for a maximum of 20 wells covered by this license. This would allow it to be more efficient during its future drilling campaigns.
