
Tourism: 7.4 million visitors to Morocco at the end of June 2024
7.4 million visitors crossed Moroccan borders, representing an increase of 14% compared to 2023 and a spectacular jump of 38% compared to 2019, indicates the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy.
While the objectives are one million additional tourists for the entire year of 2024, Morocco has already welcomed 909,000 additional visitors in just six months, explains the Ministry of Tourism.
The month of June saw a record arrival of 1.5 million tourists, an increase of 10% compared to 2023, and the summer season looks just as promising, specifies the same source. In this context, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, declared: « Morocco’s influence on the international tourism scene is undeniable. The unique assets of our country combined with the implementation of our roadmap are bearing fruit. Our objective of 17.5 million tourists is closer than ever. »
