Victor, the famous mascot of the Canadian group “Just For Laugh”, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, has just stopped over in Agadir. After Montreal, Toronto, Sydney, London, Brussels, Lyon and Johannesburg, it is in the capital of Souss that the mascot has just set down, for the signing of an agreement between the Canadian group “Just for Laughs” and the “Juste for Agadir” association.
This partnership project is led by a team made up of active members of the city, who aim to breathe new life into the destination by creating a renowned festival. A dream made possible, thanks to the acquisition of the operating license for the festival created in 1983 in Montreal by Gilbert Rozon, also known for his status as an emblematic juror of the hit show, “France has an incredible talent” on M6. The event is now positioned as the largest comedy festival in the world.
The 1st edition of “Juste pour Agadir” scheduled for next August will present big names in Amazigh, Moroccan and French-speaking humor. A press conference will be organized in May to announce the official launch of the event, and present the main points of its program. The authorities welcomed the project. They promise to do everything possible to make it succeed. To this end, the Municipal Council has released a subsidy, within the framework of the agreement with the Regional Tourism Council (CRT) of Agadir Souss Massa.
The signing ceremony of the partnership between the Just for Agadir association and the Canadian group Just for Laughs took place this week in the wilaya of Agadir. In the presence of Zineb El Adaoui, wali of the Souss Massa region, governor of Agadir Ida-Outanane, Brahim Hafidi, president of the Souss Massa Regional Council and Salah El Malouki, president of the urban commune of Agadir (CUA).
