Morocco: A digital professions complex that will transform the technological future!

As part of its “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy, Morocco has just inaugurated a new Digital Professions Complex in the province of Médiouna. This initiative aims to prepare the next generation of information technology professionals and strengthen the country’s positioning on the international technology scene. The complex’s mission is to provide specialized training in areas such as software development, artificial intelligence, digital project management and cybersecurity. It was designed to bridge the gap between existing skills and the needs of the increasingly demanding global technology market. By developing high-level local skills, Morocco hopes to attract more foreign investment in the digital sector.

The “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy is focused on the creation of 240,000 jobs in the information and communication technologies (ICT) sector and the launch of 3,000 startups by 2030. In addition to job creation, the objective is to generate an economic contribution of nearly $10.36 billion to the country’s GDP through these digital initiatives. Morocco is also seeking to position itself as a regional technology hub, capable of competing with major nations on the African continent such as Nigeria and Kenya. This initiative comes against a backdrop of increasing investments from international technology companies. Oracle, for example, announced plans to expand its cloud computing services in Morocco. This partnership with renowned companies aims to strengthen the country’s technology ecosystem and offer cutting-edge digital solutions to local and regional businesses. The Médiouna Digital Professions Complex does not just train talents; it also aims to stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship among Moroccan youth. By promoting an environment favorable to startups, Morocco hopes to become an African leader in new technologies and digital innovation. This ambitious vision could transform Morocco into a key player in the technology sector, attracting companies and talents from around the world. The launch of the Digital Professions Complex and the “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy mark a decisive turning point for Morocco. By focusing on the development of digital skills and collaboration with global technology leaders, the country is preparing to play a central role in Africa’s digital transformation.
