Ribat Al-Fath puts science in the spotlight
The 2nd edition of the Rabat Science Festival is held from February 15 to 17. Under the theme “Morocco: green hydrogen, sustainable energy”, this meeting takes place at the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco (BNRM).
Coming out of limbo thanks to the joint efforts of the Ribat Al-Fath association and the BNRM, the Kingdom Capital Science Festival, which is now in its second edition, aims to bring the young generation closer to the modern scientific sphere, whether theoretical or applied, by setting up a multitude of ad hoc workshops. This initiative was welcomed by the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Abdellatif Miraoui, who emphasized the importance of promoting the human sciences, believing that the best professions will be those of young people with high-level knowledge in this field. The festival therefore comes at the right time, since the government is pulling out all the stops to familiarize young people with the exact sciences, especially since the time has come for reform. In other words, the government has no choice but to revolutionize the university system and adapt it to the challenges of the future. For Abdelkrim Bennani, President of the Ribat Al-Fath Association, “the field of science is booming all over the world and, moreover, at an increasingly accelerated level”. This man of science, who did everything to set up a festival capable of popularizing a subject as specialized as scientific advances in today’s world, goes so far as to affirm that « Artificial Intelligence is one of the most important inventions of humanity ». According to him, the degree of advancement of a country is judged by the number of scientific institutes that it renovates, the number of scientific research laboratories that meet the requirements of modern society, its advanced scientific training institutions and the numerous other bodies with which it is supposed to equip itself, in order to prepare young people to follow all developments in scientific training and supervision. All in all, and for all intents and purposes, the Ribat Al-Fath association has the firm intention of helping to highlight the scientific prowess of Moroccan youth. Furthermore, according to our interlocutor, in these times of water stress, awareness is needed more than ever. Likewise, in these times of global warming, the developments undertaken by the Kingdom demonstrate great consideration for the theme of green hydrogen, a subject which also deserves to be more popularized for all to see. And to think that the very idea of setting up an event as unifying as this festival comes from a group of young teachers who lead scientific workshops all day long, during this second edition, with the participation of scientific clubs from both sides to take part in this meeting, as well as many associations entirely dedicated to invention and automated supervision.
