Maroc Telecom: More than 77 million customers at the end of March 2024

The number of Maroc Telecom Group customers reached 77.1 million at the end of March 2024, up 2.7%, the group announces in a press release on its consolidated results. In Morocco, the Mobile base has 19.3 million customers, up 0.9% over one year with a postpaid base up 3.4% over the same period, specifies the Group. The Fixed line base stands at more than 1.7 million lines at the end of March 2024, down 8%, the press release said, noting that the growth in Fixed Internet activities (+7.6% driven by the performance of FTTH activity) partially compensates for the decline in Mobile in Morocco (-4.2%). Internationally, the Mobile base reached 53,872,000 customers, spread across Burkina Faso (11,691,000), Ivory Coast (10,650,000), Mali (8,479,000), Chad (6,418,000), Benin (6,050,000), Niger (3,425,000), Mauritania (2,339,000), Togo (2,917,000), Gabon (1,636,000) and Central Africa (268,000). The fixed base has 391,000 subscribers, spread across Mali (242,000), Burkina Faso (71,000), Gabon (57,000) and Mauritania (21,000), while the fixed broadband base has 219,000 customers.
