Oasis, Atlas and Moga: the epic Moroccan electro festivals
Exit the traditional models of festivals with a large audience like Mawazine, L’Boulevard or Gnaoua. Today, new festival architectures are emerging and asserting themselves in Morocco. First there was Oasis in 2015, the following year Atlas Electronic and Moga who positioned themselves on the vein of electronic music, in its broadest understanding.
The offers of three projects are different, but intersect with the intention of creating spaces of freedom for a rather wealthy public, for a weekend. Atlas, Oasis and Moga offer an immersion of three to four days of concerts scheduled from midday until early morning in luxurious hotels and promise festive experiences where everything is (almost) permitted in a safe setting. Artificial paradises which have found a niche audience capable of paying between 900 to 2250 dirhams. Round-up on the specificities and models of each festival.
