Gazelle horns with icing sugar
Ingredients
- 180 g butter
- 2 spoons of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 small glass of topping
- 50 g ground pine nuts, hazelnuts and almonds
- 1 teaspoon of liquid vanilla
- 1 small glass of powdered sugar
- 1 pinch of ground cloves
- 2 eggs
- Flour according to mixture
- 300 g caster sugar
Preparation
To prepare the dough, in a bowl, mix the sugar, butter and vanilla to obtain a cream. Add the eggs and a pinch of cloves while stirring.
Add the milk then the ground dried fruits, adding the flour gradually until the dough is homogeneous.
Make gazelle horn shapes. Using a 9.5cm circular cookie cutter, cut circles out of the dough. Place a sausage of dough in the center of each circle. The sausage is almost as big as the circle itself.
Arrange on an oiled baking sheet. Take a circle of dough containing the sausage and close the upper edges. And give it a crescent shape. Proceed in the same way for all the dough circles.
Using a serrated wheel, cut following the shape of the stuffing crescent. Then remove the excess dough.
Bake in the oven at medium temperature for 20 minutes.
After the gazelle horns have cooled, cover and sprinkle with sugar two to three times to coat them well with sugar.
This pastry is exquisite, whether it can be enjoyed with coffee, tea or with nothing at all!
