Festival of goals for Morocco against Uganda in CAN U17

The Moroccan players, coached by Nabil Baha, took the lead in the 3rd minute of play thanks to a goal from Ilies Belmokhtar. Shortly after, in the 8th minute, Driss Aït Cheikh scored the second Moroccan goal with a header. Morocco continued to control the game and earned a penalty, converted by Ziyad Baha in the 24th minute, making the score 3-0. Elias Belmokhtar scored his second goal in the 33rd minute, giving Morocco a 4-0 lead at halftime. During the second period, the trend was confirmed with Moroccan domination. Ziyad Baha added a fifth goal for Morocco, also with a header and his second of the match, in the 71st minute. The Ugandan selection tried to react with counter-attacks, but their players lacked precision in the opposing penalty area, failing to score. The Moroccan goalkeeper, Chouaïb Bellaârouch, was not put in any major difficulty. Ugandan attempts to reduce the score at the end of the match remained in vain, often due to lack of concentration at the time of the finish.

The match therefore ended with this score of 5-0 in favor of Morocco. Thanks to this victory, the Moroccan team takes provisional first place in Group A with three points. Uganda is in last place with zero points. The final ranking of this first day will depend on the result of the match between Zambia and Tanzania, scheduled for Monday. The next match for the Lion Cubs of the Atlas is scheduled for Thursday April 3 at 8 p.m. against Zambia. They will next face Tanzania on Sunday April 6, also at 8 p.m. These two matches will be played at the El Bachir stadium in Mohammedia.
