
The Moroccan Ministry of Tourism launches a social media campaign to promote sustainable travel
The Ministry of Tourism has joined forces with the Moroccan globe-trotting couple Amal and Anass Yakine, in a social media campaign intended to promote the best initiatives in sustainable tourism in Morocco.
Entitled #sustainablevoyage, this operation, which is part of the celebration of the international year of sustainable tourism for development, aims to raise awareness among the general public of the notion of tourism sustainability in the Kingdom.
The Moroccan globetrotters who traveled through the cities of Chefchaouen, Dakhla, Aoufous, N’kob, Ouarzazate and Marrakech, set off to meet tourism players, nominated for the 7th edition of the Morocco Sustainable Tourism Trophies to discover the different benefits of these projects on local communities.
Moroccan globetrotters met, notably the Talassemtane Association for the Environment and Biodiversity (ATED) in Chefchaouen, Sodev Maroc in Aoufous, Kasbah Baha Baha in N’Kob, Désert et Montagne, Jardin des aromas Intrepid Marrakech in Ouarzazate, Spana Marrakech, and the Marrakech Biennale and Dakhla Association Attitude and Lagoon Dakhla.
Capsules retracing #sustainabletravel will be broadcast once a week on social networks as well as the Ministry of Tourism’s YouTube channel.
Launched last December, the #voyagedurable operation invites the Moroccan and foreign public to discover the best tourism initiatives, which are committed to promoting sustainable and responsible tourism
