Club hotels: Patrice Caradec returns with 7 Bravo Club for winter 2017-18
The former boss of Transat France/Look Voyages is now at the head of the new TO Alpitour France. It presents a concept of “Franco-Italian club on a human scale”. Two medium-haul clubs and five long-haul clubs for a first brochure in August.
It goes very quickly! The French subsidiary of the Italian group Alpitour (see below) has just been created and registered – on May 2 – and the first sales tests will be launched at the end of June in around a hundred agencies. For B2B marketing of Bravo Clubs via Orchestra “end of August-beginning of September”.
Alpitour France is – to begin with – 7 Bravo Clubs open in winter 2017-2018. 4* clubs which will be shared with an Italian clientele. The concept is based on 4 essential points: quality (bilingual entertainment with an entertainer for 10 rooms and catering), location (beautiful beaches), comfort (all inclusive) and sports (qualified entertainers).
“We offer a concept of holidays in exclusively Franco-Italian clubs,”explains Patrice Caradec, president and co-shareholder of Alpitour France. “Compared to the English or the Germans, we have a cultural proximity with the Italians, whether in terms of the importance of cuisine, conviviality or the rhythm of the day. In the Bravo Clubs, we will be among ourselves”he adds.
Addresses to differentiate yourself
If in Morocco, Alpitour plans the former Marmara des Almohades club in Agadir, the TO will offer “more original destinations for the French market”. By their location or capacity. In Cape Verde, the Vila Do Farol in Sal is a 234-room resort in the heart of a tropical garden – rare in the destination.
In Cuba, Club Arenal will be “the only one” in Playa del Este, 25 km from Havana. The Bravo Club in Bayahibe has only 170 rooms, the Yucatan Beach and the Andilana Beach in Nosy Be have 200 rooms. Finally, Kiwengwa in Zanzibar, “top seller of the group”, should arouse the curiosity of the French
Flight plans are planned from Paris and the province with Air France, XL Airways, Transavia, Qatar and Air Austral. “And perhaps on Neos, the in-house company, if we find solutions to connect with departures from Rome and Milan”indicates Patrice Caradec.
Objective: 30 clubs in 2022
The TO plans to offer 12 Bravo Clubs in summer 2018 in order to attract 30,000 customers and achieve a turnover of around €30 million. With certain clubs open all year round, Patrice Caradec expects to “be very close to balance in 2019”.
At 5 years, in 2022, it aims to reach 100,000 customers and 30 Bravo clubs – which means openings in line with the group’s strategy – for around €110 million in turnover.
Alpitour France is an 85% subsidiary of Alpitour. The remaining 15% of the capital of €5 million is held by management, i.e. 5 people including Patrice Caradec, its president, and Romaric Bau, marketing and e-commerce director.
