As part of the efforts made to improve the comfort and travel conditions of passengers transiting through the port, and more particularly during the Marhaba period, the Tanger Med port is strengthening its passenger reception infrastructure by opening a hotel under the ONOMO brand, announces a joint press release published this Saturday, July 27.
This new hotel is located in the multimodal building “Tanger Med Port Center”, comprising a ferry terminal, a railway station and a bus station, and allowing passengers to be received by train, coach or vehicle.
With a private investment of MAD 35 million, ONOMO Hôtel Tanger Med covers a total area of nearly 4,200m² on 2 levels. It has 94 rooms and has a capacity of 140 beds.
“The Tanger Med port is further strengthening its service offering for the benefit of travelers, particularly at this time of year which sees significant passenger traffic during the Marhaba campaign” specifies Kamal Lakhmas, Director of the Passenger and Ro-Ro Port. In 2018, nearly 2.8 million passengers passed through the Tanger Med port and more particularly during the summer period and during the Marhaba campaign.
For his part, Mohamed Bendraou, Director of ONOMO Hôtel Tanger Med affirms that the “hotel is ready to welcome private or corporate clients, for personal or professional stays, thanks to its catering offer and its banquet room. Our 40 employees have undergone rigorous training and are fully operational.”
