Engineering and tourism investment: SMIT and Atout France explore opportunities
The areas of partnerships that could be developed within the framework of tourism engineering and investment between SMIT and Atout France, a tourism development agency, were recently studied between the heads of the two institutions.
During this meeting, the chairman of the board of the Moroccan Society of Tourist Engineering (smit), Imad Barrakad, recalled that the current tourist offer is structured around two destinations and that Morocco’s ambition is to develop 6 other new destinations.
He also explained that tourism’s ambition is to create more than 200,000 new beds during the decade and attract 150 billion dirhams of investment. “This meeting was also an opportunity to take stock of developments in the tourism development model in France, in which Atout France plays an important role, in particular the development of mountain and nature tourism,” specifies a press release.
The approach of Atout France, led by Christian Mantei, consists of deploying its knowledge and skills to support its partners on territorial development approaches and specific projects carried out by private and public partners through controlled project engineering ranging from market assessment to financial and operational arrangements.
Also, the exchanges between the two counterparts made it possible to highlight the convergences of visions between these two organizations which base the development of the brand on the creation of a creative product and catalyst of value, responding to a specific market whose feasibility and assembly are duly considered.
