
Constitutional institutions: King Mohammed VI makes three new appointments
Here is a press release from the Royal Cabinet:
“His Majesty King Mohammed VI was kind enough to appoint, this Monday, March 24, 2025, certain heads of constitutional institutions. They are: -Abdelkader Amara, president of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council. -Mohamed Benalilou, president of the National Authority for Probity, Prevention and the Fight against Corruption. -Hassan Tariq, to the post of Mediator of the Kingdom. These appointments are part of the King’s desire to see these institutions accomplish the missions entrusted to them by the Constitution of the Kingdom, to strengthen their role in the consecration of the principles of good governance, the consolidation of participatory democracy and the protection of rights and freedoms. They also reflect the interest accorded by the King to these bodies, as independent constitutional institutions, with a view to giving a new dynamic to their missions and strengthening their interaction with the various national institutions, in monitoring the various reforms and major projects that the Kingdom is undergoing. »
