Montpellier: Inauguration of the new headquarters of the Consulate General of Morocco
The new headquarters of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco has just been inaugurated on Monday in Montpellier, marking a significant step in the strategy of modernization and strengthening of services offered to the Moroccan community residing in the south of France. Morocco inaugurated on Monday the new headquarters of the Consulate General of the Kingdom in Montpellier in the presence of the mayor of the city, Michaël Delafosse, the Moroccan ambassador to France, Samira Sitail, as well as several officials from the two countries. This infrastructure is now designed to effectively meet the needs of around 200,000 Moroccans in the region. The project is also a continuation of the high guidelines of King Mohammed VI, who continues to insist on improving services for Moroccans around the world.
The new consulate, located in a modern, spacious and accessible building, reflects this vision by offering a practical, welcoming and unique space, symbol of the strong bond that unites the Kingdom with its diaspora. Designed to strengthen human, cultural and economic cooperation, this 850 square meter headquarters spread over three floors has twenty offices, two meeting rooms, an archive space, a reception area, as well as parking adapted for people with reduced mobility.
