Google+ introduces facial recognition
eMarrakech:

The controversial facial recognition tool already in use on the social network Facebook will be introduced by Google+ in the coming days, according to media reports.
The facial recognition tool analyzes a user account’s photo albums and makes specific suggestions about the people in the published photos. It thus invites the user to identify their people. However, the functionality will not be installed by default. User authorization will therefore be required before a “tag” is applied. Google+ would thus like to avoid being dragged into legal problems like Facebook; underlines the Mashable site.
