A platform specializing in travel has ranked a Moroccan city among the cheapest seaside destinations in the Mediterranean for summer 2025. As the holidays approach, tourists often look for places that are less expensive than the major known destinations. It is in this context that the international site Travel Off Path has published its ranking of the most affordable seaside resorts for summer 2025. Tangier is included alongside cities like Blanes (Spain), Kos (Greece) and Vlorë (Albania). Tangier’s position in this ranking is explained by its unique geographical location, just opposite Europe, on the other side of the Strait of Gibraltar. This makes it an original cultural meeting place. Just 25 km from the city center is Achakar Beach, a popular site for its blue waters, golden sand and tourist facilities. You can eat for around $10 in local restaurants, and spend a night in an average hotel for around $51. Tangier also seduces with its atmosphere, reminiscent of that of southern Spain, while retaining a strong Moroccan identity. This is particularly seen in the traditional architecture of its medina, with its narrow streets, its white houses and its historical monuments like the Kasbah.
