Moroccan Tourism Office: “Morocco is the first non-European destination for the French”

France remains the leading market for Morocco, with more than3.5 million tourists welcomed in 2017.

The trend is confirmed in the first half of 2018, with an 8% increase in attendance. 

“Morocco remains the leading non-European destination for the French,”underlines Khalid Mimi, France director of the Moroccan Tourist Office.

 

Consolidated air travel and a whirlwind winter

Air capacity between France-Morocco increased for the summer 2018 season, it will also increase by + 18% this winter.Easyjet launches three new lines:Toulouse/Marrakech (3 flights per week), Bordeaux/Essaouira and Lyon/Agadir.

Transavia will increase its capacities by 45% for 2018/2019. The company is launching a weekly flight Paris/Daklha, Paris/Rabat (3 flights per week) and Nantes/Casablanca (3 flights per week). 

Ryanair will operate Bordeaux/Fez and Brest/Fez. 

Then, Air Arabia offers a Basel/Mulhouse flight to Agadir. Finally, Small Planet Airlines will set up a Paris/Agadir flight. 

French tourism in Morocco should therefore do well again this winter 2018/2019.
