It was in Sicily that Morocco won the world couscous preparation championship as part of the Cous Cous Fest 2024 which brought together chefs from ten participating countries.
From September 20 to 29, in San Vito Lo Capo, Sicily, Morocco demonstrated its art in the preparation of couscous. Among the chefs from ten countries participating in the 27th edition of the Cous Cous Fest 2024 championship, initiated by the Feed Back agency and the city municipality, first place went to the Moroccan duo composed of Hanae Chaoui, chef of the Moroccan restaurant La Medina, and Mourad Dakir who officiates at Maison Touareg, the first Milanese restaurant dedicated to Moroccan culinary specialties.
