Tourism: Indonesian investors visiting Morocco

Africa has become the new El Dorado for investors and Morocco is no exception. In addition to being in full development, Morocco enjoys healthy tourism.

It is therefore as part of the promotion of tourism investments that the Moroccan Society of Tourism Engineering (SMIT) is welcoming a delegation from Blue Waves, a major Indonesian economic group, from March 12 to 22. Objective: to explore the tourism investment opportunities offered by the Kingdom. An opportunity as interesting for Indonesia as for Morocco, as underlined by Imad Barrakad, chairman of the board of SMIT.

During his speech, Mr. Barrakad reviewed the broad outlines of the tourism development strategy as well as Morocco’s business climate, thanks to its strategic geographic position and its political stability before presenting a set of investment projects, which did not fail to arouse keen interest from the Indonesian side. A way of encouraging Indonesian investors in the tourism sector, making it possible to promote the leading role played by Morocco in strengthening cultural and civilizational exchange with Asian countries.
