Tourism: Morocco 1st destination outside Europe for the French
Infomediary Morocco – Arrivals of French foreign tourists (excluding binationals) in Morocco increased by 11% in 2017. And with a record total of 3,533,000 in terms of overall arrivals of French tourists recorded last year, the Kingdom is currently positioned at the top of non-European destinations for French tourists.
This progression is explained by the relative economic recovery that France experienced during 2017 and especially by the increase and diversification of air transport services from all French regions to Morocco over the last two years.
We will also note the launch by Air-Arabia of the Basel-Mulhouse/Agadir line (1 flight/week).
For its part, Transavia shows a 30% growth in its capacities for 2018 thanks in particular to the success encountered by the Paris/Dakhla (1 flight/week), Paris/Rabat (3 flights/week) and Casablanca/Nantes (3 flights/week) lines.
