Morocco will become the new destination for German tourists with the next big wave of travel, the founder and CEO of German tour operator FTI Group, Dietmar Gunz, said last week.
Quoted by German media Welt, the latter affirmed that Morocco is a “ safe destination all year round with a good climate”. “Morocco has been the Mallorca of the French, many have a second home there. This is changing as the country opens its borders to tourists from other countries, said FTI Groupe CEO. This one is also investing in Morocco where the group has its own hotels, believing that this investment comes in response to the difficult security situations in many countries popular with German tourists.
Dietmar Gunz also notes that German tourists and vacationers are now getting used to the terrorist threat. “ Clients are learning to deal with such events and they have learned that the terrorist threat is not local ”, he says, noting that terrorism exists “in Europe as well as in other countries, but the client has become more cautious”.
