KENZI HOTELS Tribute to a great national operator. Abdelatif Kabbaj

With more than 40 years of experience in the hotel industry, Abdelatif Kabbaj, Chairman and CEO of Kenzi Hotels, is passionate about the hotel industry which he has continued to practice since his first experience at the Palais Jamaï in Fez and the Ambassadors Club in London. A graduate of the Rabat Hotel School in 68, he took a great liking to hotel management within the Société Maroc Tourist, a CDG subsidiary, as Managing Director in several hotels then as general inspector of Maroc Tourist.
Driven by the ardor of the profession and the desire to move forward, he joined the PLM chain which was in full growth to support it in its development as CEO of the chain. A position he held for 10 years with successful missions of organization, marketing of hotels and creation of new units including the Omayades hotel in Agadir, the Karam hotel in Ouarzazate, the Mansour Eddahbi hotel and the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech…
Created in 1988 and managed since 1991 by Abdelatif Kabbaj, the Kenzi Hotels Group has become the first private Moroccan operator, thanks to the trust placed in it by its customers and partners. Since 2001, he has focused his efforts on managing all hotels under the KENZI brand, in order to guarantee customers constant, quality service. Kenzi Hotels is a hotel management and consulting company which today has around ten establishments and nearly 2004 employees, 15% of whom are executives.
The Kenzi Group has just launched its new luxury brand Kenzi Premium Signature, which allows the chain to have a Luxury label and enter the line of international prestige hotels, with two 5* L. The chain also operates with three 5* hotels, four 4* and two Club hotels. Projects are currently being studied or implemented, particularly in Saïdia with a large-scale real estate tourism project; Agadir with the hotel construction project and in Tangier with the management project for a Grand Hôtel de la Place.
All these years of working in the hotel sector, a dominant sector in tourism, have not been easy for Abdelatif Kabbaj who has had to fight to find a place and establish himself in a very competitive sector. The established reputation that he has acquired in the hotel sector has been built and still continues to be built on perseverance and seriousness with the support of a staff made up of good professionals honed by years of practical experience in the hotel industry.
Very good continuation to the Kenzi Hotels Group and to Abdelatif Kabbaj, who always remains a man on the ground, a professional of value, coupled with a nationalist who does not skimp for a moment in participating in a dynamic way in the tourist development of his country, thanks to know-how accumulated by years of field practice.
