
Msemen stuffed with shrimp
Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 1 teaspoon of baker’s yeast
- 3 grated carrots
- 250g peeled pink shrimp
- 1 onion, sliced
- a little Chinese vermicelli
- olive oil, paprika, salt, pepper
Preparation
Make a well in the center of the flour, put in the salt, sugar, yeast, and gradually add lukewarm water, knead well until you obtain a smooth dough, then make small balls. Oil them
In a pan, brown all the ingredients for 5 minutes; then add the shrimp.
Put the vermicelli in a saucepan filled with hot water and leave to soak for 5 minutes. Drain and roughly cut with scissors; and finally add it to the first mixture.
Take the 1st ball and start to spread it out by oiling then turning from time to time while oiling to reach this diameter, no longer turning over risk of tearing the dough, place a tablespoon of stuffing in the middle.
Start folding the msemen without greasing
After folding the msemen, reserve it on a tray…and let it rest a little after this time, brush them with egg yolk and bake them in the oven.
Serve the shrimp msemen hot with fresh mint tea.
