Women
Attijariwafa, Addoha, Cosumar… In Morocco, where are the women leaders?
Since January 1, 2024, women must represent at least 30% of the members of the governance bodies of Moroccan companies listed on the stock exchange. Five months after this law came into force, the results are mixed.
It goes from zero to three. On Tuesday June 11, 2024, the insurance and brokerage company AFMA appointed three women to its nine-member governance body. According to its president and CEO, Farid Bensaïd, this allows the Moroccan company listed on the stock exchange to cross the threshold of 30% female representation within its board of directors.
