Bahrain aspires to strengthen its cooperation with Morocco in all sectors, particularly tourism, said the executive president of the Bahraini Tourism and Exhibitions Administration, Sheikh Khaled Ben Hamoud Al-Khalifa.
Cooperation between Morocco and Bahrain in tourism matters constitutes one of the pillars of the strategy of the Bahraini Economic Development Administration and one of the objectives of the tourism policy adopted by Manama, added the Bahraini official during an interview with the Moroccan ambassador to Bahrain, Ahmed Rachid Khattabi.
He also welcomed the training sessions supervised by Moroccan executives and artisans in Bahrain, as part of the executive Crafts program adopted by the two countries in September 2016, also welcoming the participation of the “Maison de l’artisan” institution in the Bahrain International Fair (January 2019).
For his part, the Moroccan diplomat indicated that discussions between the two parties focused on practical means of strengthening tourist exchanges between the two countries, in light of the launch of a direct air link between Morocco and Bahrain.
In this sense, Ahmed Rachid Khattabi stressed that the success of the Moroccan-Bahraini craft week, which took place in September 2016 in Manama, is a motivating factor to consolidate and diversify the range of cooperation between the two countries in the tourism sector.
It is also, according to the Moroccan diplomat, a successful experience which offers the opportunity to optimize national plans aimed at promoting the tourism sector.
