Taghazout Bay: hotels pinned for planning violations
48H. This is the time left for three tourist units on the seafront, in Taghazout Bay, to demolish the irregularities noted in the minutes drawn up on February 14, 2020 by the authorities of the municipalities of Taghazout and Aourir.
The first hotel is located in the town of Taghazout. This is the Hyatt Regency. The irregularities concern the addition of 4 villas and 2 rooms at this 5-star tourist establishment.
The Offenses linked to “non-compliance with architectural plans” also concern two other hotels located in the commune of Aourir. These are the Fairmont Taghazout Bay and the Pickalbatros. Demolition work began this weekend.
Au level of other hotels, already operational or in progress, the commission did not note any anomaly other than “light construction” in a hotel establishment, also on the seafront.
Three hotels already operational
The Taghazout station has 9 establishments, 3 of which are already operational. There is the Hyatt Place golf hotel, the Sol House surf village and the Riu Tikida Palace Taghazout. They will be followed by Hyatt Regency, scheduled to open at the end of 2020. The other establishments expected this year are the Fairmont Taghazout Bay hotel, the Hilton, scheduled to open in December 2020, the Mariott hotel, scheduled for June 2021, as well as the Pickalbatros hotel scheduled for 2020. The last unit concerns the Eco Resort which will be entrusted to Club Med.
