Agadir Ecological Tourism Promotion of local development and natural preservation in Villate Limoune.

One of the priorities of Domaine Villate Limoune in Ouleid Teima is the promotion of local development, the preservation of nature and Moroccan gastronomy. This policy initiated and supported by, Amine Bouslikhane, (a young dynamic promoter known for his open-mindedness and his civic involvement in his ecological), economic and social environment, is one of the spearheads of this 400 hectare agro-tourism estate near Agadir.

This domain is unique in many ways. It is aimed above all at a local and national clientele, looking for a space of nature and calm in the hinterland of Agadir. The majority of visitors being families, the animal park is of course one of the most sought-after activities. Then, the catering offer is certainly one of the most important things, because, as everyone knows, Moroccans appreciate eating well.

After a period of research and adaptation, the ideal formula seems to have been found, with the arrival of a young Chef from the region: Rachid El Mragui. After joining the Domaine team, this young chef offered an original menu, composed of local products and revisited Moroccan recipes. On Sunday lunchtime, the usual busy day at the Domaine, visitors and their families now gather around an all-you-can-eat buffet. This formula pleases everyone because you can taste all the dishes, each more delicious than the other.

Chef Rachid El Mragui, aged 39, is from Ouleid Teima. He studied in Agadir at the Specialized Institute of Hotels and Catering, before doing his internships and his first jobs in the listed hotels of the seaside city. Then he heads to Marrakech, among other places, to the prestigious La Mamounia hotel. He is now taking on the challenge of leading his own brigade at Domaine Villate Limoune, where all the cooks are also from the region.

He tells us “I am very happy to be able to contribute my energy and my knowledge to the development of my region of origin. Being able to use products grown on site, working with local products, all aimed at a mainly local clientele, interests me greatly. The cuisine I offer is typically Moroccan, but with touches of European and international cuisine.”

Good luck to Rachid, a chef who is already making a name for himself thanks to his know-how. Bravo to Amine Bouslikhane for his dynamic, intelligent and civic involvement in the development of local tourism, in its sustainable and ecological tourism dimension.

It should be remembered that Le Domaine Villate Limoune is a guest farm, labeled Clef Verte, offering accommodation and a swimming pool reserved for residents.  Its constituents: a restaurant “Sous les Orangers”. A Moroccan restaurant. A party and wedding area. Seminar, meeting and conference rooms. An Animal Park with more than 250 animals.

Leisure activities: horse riding, hiking, sports activities. A grass football pitch. Three clay tennis courts. A banana plantation, an organic garden, an aromatic “5 senses” garden, orange groves. Organization of school visits, seminars, team building and other meetings. The Domaine is accessible to visitors for the day or for stays in a typically natural and ecological setting.
