
World Cup 2018: specialized Russian companies set accommodation prices
Russian companies specializing in rental, hotels and tourism have set accommodation rates for tourists in the various cities scheduled to host the final stages of the Football World Cup next summer.
According to the same sources, owners and hoteliers anticipate an increase in accommodation rates varying between 50 and 100% throughout this global competition to 1,000 rubles ($16.9) for the cheapest room per person and up to 3,500 rubles ($59.3).
The price of accommodation in the cities of Saint Petersburg, Moscow and Kaliningrad where the Moroccan national team will play on June 15 against the Iranian selection, on June 20 against the Portuguese and on June 25 against the Spanish Eleven, will be between 2,700 rubles and 3,500 rubles ($46 to $59).
Thus in Saint Petersburg, the supporter will have to pay nearly 2,700 rubles (45.7 dollars) per day, some 2,900 rubles in Kaliningrad (around 49.1 dollars) while the average rate will be 3,500 rubles (around 59.3 dollars) in Moscow.
As for the city of Saransk, capital of the Russian Republic of Mordovia, the average room rate in a small hotel in this small town will be around 1,500 rubles per night ($25.4).
Nightly accommodation will be around 1,700 rubles (about $28.8) per person in Volgograd, located in the south of the country, and almost 2,000 rubles (about $33.8) in Rostov on the Don River.
In the city of Yekaterinburg (Central), the average cost of housing will reach approximately 2,400 rubles per day (approximately 40.6 dollars). In Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan), the price will be around 2,600 rubles per day (about $44.06) and in Sochi (South) 2,700 rubles (about $45.7) per day.
In the city of Samara, the visitor will have to pay a daily average of around 2,800 rubles (around 47.4 dollars) and almost 3,700 rubles (around 62.7 dollars) in Nizhny Novgorod.
