Morocco promotes tourism on M6
TOURISM – The Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) has just launched a new television communications campaign, with the main target being the French market.
Called “One life, one country”, it will extend from October 3 to December 11, 2016. It is a short program which will be broadcast on the French television channel M6, in prime time at 8:20 p.m. (7:20 p.m. Moroccan time), indicates the ONMT in a press release.
These approximately one-minute capsules will be broadcast daily for ten weeks.
French people linked to Morocco
The show will give a voice to French people from different backgrounds, natives of Morocco or who have chosen to settle in the country. Personalities representing different worlds (journalists, retirees, entrepreneurs, writers, celebrities, etc.), will recount “with great emotion their childhood in Morocco, their experiences and the emotional ties that unite them with our country”, explains the ONMT.
Among the expected celebrities, Marion Game, lead actress in the television series “Scènes de households” and Casablanca by birth.
Sydney Toledano, CEO of Christian Dior also a native of Casablanca, and Pierre Bergé, French businessman and patron, based in Marrakech since the 1960s, are also on the program.
To “avoid amalgams”
« We have chosen to communicate differently, by giving voice to French people from different backgrounds who talk about their experiences and their lives in Morocco, allowing the general public to identify with them », explains Abderrafie Zouitene, general director of the ONMT.
« In a difficult international situation marked by tragic events, it is important to explain through this program what the true values of our country are, its history, its culture, its spirit of tolerance and welcome, its stability, in order to differentiate it and avoid amalgamations. This daily meeting on M6 will also be an opportunity for the public to discover new testimonies from French personalities born in Morocco », he underlined.
According to the ONMT, this campaign will make it possible to promote all Moroccan destinations, « from Tangier to Dakhla via Fez, Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Essaouira and Agadir, and to achieve high performances in terms of audience and affinity with the target. »
