Morocco wins the prize for the best pavilion at the International Crafts Fair in kyiv
Rabat – Morocco won the prize for best pavilion at the International Craft Fair which opened on Saturday in the Ukrainian capital, kyiv.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Crafts, the Ukrainian Minister of Culture, Tymophiy Kokhan, presented the prize to the Minister of Crafts, Abdessamad Kayouh who inaugurated in his company the Moroccan pavilion, in the presence of the Moroccan ambassador to Ukraine, Mina Tounsi, the representative of the Ukrainian presidency, the heads of diplomatic delegations accredited to kyiv and several personalities from the world of business and finance.
In a statement, the Moroccan minister noted that the Kingdom aims, through its participation in this international event, to conquer new markets in the region and to bring Moroccan artisanal products closer to Ukrainian customers while working to promote the cultural and tourist image of Morocco.
He also noted that this participation is part of the department’s new strategy which aims to integrate the markets of « BRICS » countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), known for rapid economic growth and promising markets for Moroccan crafts.
Kayouh indicated that Moroccan participation was limited during this edition to individual artisans, pending the organization of business trips for Moroccan companies within the framework of « bilateral commercial negotiations » likely to raise the exchange between the two parties in search of the best formulas for the development of bilateral cooperation, with a view to promoting the level of production and exports.
The Moroccan pavilion is participating in this event with a set of trades representing in particular leather goods, copper and traditional weaving.
