
Special RMC broadcast live from Casablanca dedicated to Moroccan football
French radio RMC broadcast, Monday evening, live from Casablanca, a special of its sports program “L’After Foot” devoted to the exploits of Moroccan football. + A – A Hosted by journalists Gilbert Brisbois and Daniel Riolo, accompanied by Walid Acherchour, founder of the web show Le Club des 5, and in the presence of numerous guests, this three-hour special program (8 p.m. to 11 p.m.) highlighted Moroccan football and its remarkable performances on the world stage. Broadcast from Theater 121 of the French Institute in Casablanca, this special focused on the news of Moroccan football and its exploits, notably the historic semi-final at the 2022 World Cup and the recent title of 2024 African Futsal champion, underlined Mr. Brisbois, editor-in-chief of the program “L’After Foot”. Mr. Gilbert noted, in a statement to MAP, that this broadcast was an opportunity to talk about Morocco which is now asserting itself as a world football power and which is preparing to host two major sporting events, namely the 2025 CAN and the 2030 World Cup organized jointly with Portugal and Spain. The special program also highlighted the contribution of the Mohammed VI Football Academy in terms of training and supervision of young talents, the role of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) in the promotion of this sport and the participation of the Moroccan under-23 football team in the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, he noted. For her part, the deputy general director of the French Institute of Casablanca, Ina Pouant indicated that this live broadcast from Casablanca of the program “L’After Foot” was an opportunity to discuss the impressive exploits of Moroccan football. She noted, in a similar statement, that this unique and exclusive meeting is intended for football enthusiasts to celebrate and debate the successes and prospects of Moroccan football on the international scene. “After Foot is a very popular show in France which has started to relocate its sets for live series in different countries. With the absolutely exceptional news of Moroccan football, as well as the major deadlines, it was natural to come to Morocco,” she said.
