
Atlas Lions: Walid Regragui unveils his list for Zambia and Congo
Walid Regragui, coach of the Atlas Lions, unveiled his list for the June gathering, this Tuesday, May 28, during a press conference held at the Mohammed VI football complex. This list of 27 players is marked by the return of captain Romain Saiss, not called up for the last two matches of March against Angola and Mauritania. As a reminder, Brahim Diaz’s teammates face Zambia, on June 7 in Agadir, and Congo, four days later in Kinshasa for the 3rd and 4th days of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The national team won on November 21, traveling against Tanzania with a score of 2 goals to 0 in its only match played so far in these African qualifiers. Morocco occupies first place in Group E with 3 points, alongside Zambia, Niger and Tanzania, while Congo is 5th with 0 points on its record. Jointly organized by Mexico, Canada and the United States, the 2026 World Cup will start on June 11 at the Aztec Stadium in Mexico City and end on July 19 in New York at MetLife Stadium.
