Two Moroccan women in the Forbes ranking of the 50 most influential women over 50 in Europe, Africa and the Middle East
On January 10, “Forbes” magazine published the ranking of 50 women over 50 whose careers continue to shine in the second half of their lives. Among these influential women from Europe, Africa and the Middle East, two Moroccan women stand out with careers that command admiration.
They are CEOs, founders of their own companies or humanitarian actors, and work in the scientific field as well as in fashion and finance. There are 50 of them, they are over 50 years old and exert their influence in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, thus proving, notes Forbes, that “the second half of life is also the most successful and the most enriching”. Among these women of caliber are two Moroccans who continue to shine in their respective fields, the scientist Rajaâ Cherkaoui El Moursli and the minister Nadia Fettah.
As for Nadia Fettah, she stands out, at 52, as the first female Minister of Economy and Finance of Morocco, after starting her political career in 2019 as Minister of Tourism and Social Economy. In its presentation, Forbes recalls the career of the woman who, before entering government, founded and directed the Maroc Invest Finances group in 2000, a private equity company based in Casablanca, before joining, in 2005, the investment company Saham Group. She initially oversaw finances and operations there, before becoming chair of the board of directors and deputy general manager in 2017.
