
Royal Mansour in Marrakech, best hotel in Africa
The Royal Mansour in Marrakech was crowned the best hotel in Africa on Monday evening in Paris during the Villégiature 2015 awards ceremony. In addition to Royal Mansour, four hotel establishments in Kenya and Mauritius were in the running for the grand prize for best hotel in Africa. In a speech for the occasion, the general director of Royal Mansour, Jean Claude Messant, expressed his pride for this distinction which, he said, rewards the work of the entire team at the Royal Mansour hotel in Marrakech. He also took this opportunity to invite the audience to visit the ocher city and the Royal Mansour of Marrakech, “one of the most beautiful hotels in the world”.
Success
The city of Marrakech was in the spotlight for the 3rd consecutive year with the Villégiature prize. Selman Hotel and the Namaskar Palace were respectively crowned best hotel in Africa in 2013 and 2014. Created in 2003, the Villégiature prize rewards, each year, the best hotels in Europe, Africa and Asia. The jury for the 2015 Villégiature prize was made up of around twenty press correspondents and journalists representing major French and foreign media.
