Under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of the Interior, and the Moroccan National Tourist Office, the Association Circuit International Moulay El Hassan is pleased to announce the Moroccan event of the World Calendar of the International Automobile Federation.

Marrakech Grand Prix will begin the 2013 World Motor Show season on April 5, 6 and 7 at the Moulay El Hassan International Automobile Circuit.

In 2012, alongside the Tourist Office campaign (“Visit Morocco”), 480 million viewers followed the FIA WTCC events. During the week of the event, the teams, races, partners, and officials spent 220 MDH, a direct impact for the City of Marrakech.
In 2013, there will be another spectacle since in reinforcement at the FIA WTCC World Cup, where Mehdi Bennani will once again try to win against the big names in motorsport, it is the Formula 3000 of the AUTO GP, which will make their 2nd appearance on the African Continent in Marrakech! The AutoGP events on the Marrakech Circuit were spectacular in 2012. With their 600 hp engines, it felt like an F1 Grand Prix. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqW_dcu17Jc

This will be the first outing outside Europe for this GT Championship, which is very popular in the old Continent. And it is Miss World 2009, Kaiane Aldorino, who will start this race to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Marrakech Grand Prix, born in 2009.

The icing on the cake, one of the most beautiful modern and historical Formula1 exhibitions will appear on the Marrakech Circuit! The exhibition will undoubtedly be a nod to history which will revive memories…those who remember the Ain Diab Formula 1 Grand Prix in Casablanca in 1958!

The two-seater F1 cars will be back again to offer track initiations at the end of the day to enthusiasts…. 300 km/h in F1 along the ramparts… no comment!

The national super formula Clio RS Cup is also back since its promoter Automobiles Menara renews its commitment as the 1st national support race for the Grand Prix.
The growing number of Moroccan motorsport talents will also be there, since Race of Morocco 2013 plans another FRMSA grid reserved entirely for Moroccan races.

Grand Prix behind the scenes, racing simulators, Food Court, Drivers, entertainment, Moto Show, parades… the Paddock will remain the favorite place for enthusiasts. 3-day tickets in a covered VIP Grandstand + Paddock remain at 500 Dhs as in 2012.

On the public side, the Fun Park, the games area which was a hit with young and old alike in 2012, is also back, with spectacular activities. Thanks to the supervision of the Ministries, access to the Fun Park will be free.
