
Data leak at the CNSS: first checks and warnings
The National Social Security Fund (CNSS) has announced that the first checks carried out on the documents leaked following a cyber attack reveal that they are, in several cases, falsified, incomplete or incorrect. These documents circulated on social networks after a series of attempts to circumvent the security measures of the CNSS computer system. ?️ Immediate reactions In an official statement, the CNSS said it had: Implemented immediate corrective measures to contain the leak and strengthen the security of its infrastructure; Launched an internal investigation, in collaboration with the judicial authorities. ? Call for vigilance The CNSS calls on the public and the media to: Show vigilance and responsibility; Refrain from relaying or using these documents, under penalty of legal action. ? Assessment in progress The assessment of the origin and extent of the compromised data is still in progress, and the Fund reaffirms its commitment to protecting the personal data of its policyholders.
