
Selman Marrakech, crowned best hotel in Africa in 2013
The luxury hotel Selman Marrakech was crowned the best hotel in Africa in 2013 on Monday evening in Paris.
This distinction was awarded to this prestigious palace by the jury of the 2013 Villégiature prize, which has been rewarding the best hotels in Europe for 10 years, but also for several years in Africa and Asia.
This prize also rewards certain professions in the hotel industry, as well as publishing, notably books dedicated to hotels and gastronomy.
In addition to Selman Marrakech, two other hotel establishments in Morocco appeared on the list of four nominees for the grand prize for the best hotel in Africa, namely Sofitel Agadir Thalassa Sea & spa and Palais Namaskar Marrakech.
The jury for the 2013 Villégiature prize was made up of 24 press correspondents and journalists, including 15 from major foreign media and 9 from major French media.
The 2013 Villégiature prize award ceremony took place in the presence of several diplomats including the Moroccan ambassador to Paris, Chakib Benmoussa.
