A fantastic end to the year for Moroccan tourism. Many tourists waited until the last moment to make their reservation and spend a vacation under the sun.
In Marrakech for example, the hotel occupancy rate is between 80 and 100% during the weekend of December 31, 80% occupancy in Agadir, 70% in Tangier and still 50% in Fez.
“From December 26, national tourists and especially young people began to make their plans to celebrate the New Year,” said Abdellatif Abouricha, communications manager of the Regional Tourism Council (CRT) of Marrakech to 2m.
According to the same source, tourist establishments and restaurants have scheduled special New Year evenings, enough to attract foreign tourists but also and especially Moroccan tourists.
